About Me

Agile Software Engineer

I am studying Full Stack Software Engineering at ALX Africa, a course offered by Holberton School. At ALX, I have learned in-depth low-level programming and High-level programming. Specifically, I have completed over 40 projects in C, Python, DevOps, and technical writing and all projects are available on my GitHub. I am a hardworking individual, known for my perseverance and patience in pursuing my goals.

I am a hands-on programmer and currently among the top 10% of the ALX Software Engineering cohort 9. I have over five years of experience in web design and development, data analytics, and technical writing. During this time, I worked as a freelancer both at Fivver and Upwork where:

  • I was optimizing the user experience, creating and maintaining the user interface, and animating ideas with HTML, JavaScript, and CSS.
  • Putting design into practice on mobile websites.
  • Developing tools that enhance browser-independent site interaction control over software workflow.
  • Prepared instruction manuals and user information for 100+ clients.
  • Converted complex documentation to easy language for 50+ clients.
  • Organized and analyzed raw data for 100+ clients.

I am a talented programmer and have completed many projects in Python, C, and, Linux and Outside of technology, I have been a leader and climate change, agent. I am currently serving as a treasurer to the Rotaract club of the Embakasi- a community service club with an aim of uplifting the lives of the people in Embakasi and its surrounding. As a treasurer, I have successfully coordinated various community service events including mentorship and tree-planting events at a children’s home in Nairobi. I am also a co-founder and member of the Green Alliance Africa, a non-profit youth organization in Nairobi that has the goal of spearheading climate change in Kenya. The Green Alliance Africa also focuses on mentoring pupils and students in schools about climate change and the importance of conserving the environment.
